Keep the one-on-one touches strong throughout the summer and pay special note to the non-verbal responses from students. Leading questions can be as simple or invasive as these:
- How’s your summer going?
- Ready for school yet?
- How’s your private life coming along?
- What’s one area that I can be praying for you?
- What is your family doing this summer?
- What books are you hoping to read?
